If the brake light on your 1992 Chevy 1500 is flashing five times, it typically indicates a problem with the brake system, possibly related to the brake fluid level, a faulty brake switch, or an issue with the anti-lock braking system (ABS). First, check the brake fluid reservoir to ensure it's at the proper level. If the fluid is fine, inspect the brake light switch near the brake pedal for proper function and wiring.
