Try checking the brake light on / off switch. (BOO switch) It's behind the brake pedal, perhaps it's stuck or need replacement. Also, make sure the problem isn't that your brake pedal is so low that it won't come off the switch, if it is then either your brake booster is shot, or you need a pedal adjustment or other brake work.
