Year for year and size for size they are a direct swap. In other words, a 5.4 from an F150 is the same as a 5.4 from an Expedition. There are also years that will interchange but I am not certain which ones are direct swaps. The Expedition is based on the F150 platform.
Is the 1997 F150 Transmission is the same as the 1999 Expedition
No, a 1997 Ford F150 doors will not fit on a 2001 Expedition. You will need to get a door that is made specifically for the Expedition.
The F150 V8 engines (in general) tend to warm fairly quickly when operating normally. From right cold to full operating temp in about ten minutes city driving on really cold winter days. If your Engine does not match this by a large margin then I am going to predict that thermostat is worn or weak and needs replacing.
If the 2000 F150 has a 4.6...yes. If not, you're looking at changing engine mounts, computer, wiring...and many other items.
yes it will fit...how will that fit??
Without pulling codes, I would quess the Oxygen sensor is weak and needs replacing.
Yes, the 2001 Ford F150 driver's door will fit on the 2001 Ford Expedition.
Yes. They're interchangeable. If the F150 has a manual transmission, the ECM will need to be reflashed for the automatic transmission on the Expedition.
There really is no precursor to the Expedition. If anything, the Explorer maybe. The Expedition is based on the F150 pickup platform.
I believe you need to just start the engine with the key, it worked for me
alternator probably needs replacing not charging battery or bat is dead and not taking charge
If it's the same size engine, your mechanic is an idiot. Now if you changed engine sizes it wouldn't work without changing the computer and wiring.
