yes
yes you can but if you can put an ls1 why not put an LS2? get close to 500 horse power... if you can afford it
no
It should with lots modifications
Hard to say who's faster once you put in a non-stock engine. Corvettes never came with a 455, but it might be a fun swap.
Yes you can it will bolt right up to it.
it is a big engine bay, some people have put LS1 corvette engines in them
You can put just about any engine into any car if you have the time, money and know how. It certainly wouldn't be a direct swap. You'd need the LS1 computer, sensors, wiring etc.
Ls1 or a 2jz
Be very careful NOT to put trans fluid in an engine ! - It goes down the tube that holds trans dipstick, into the transmission.
Yes. It would be quite hard. It would require an LS1 matching ECM (computer), a complete wiring harness with all applicable engine sensors, the LS1 matching electronically controlled transmission, and you may have some issues with the front suspension being inadequate for the increased weight of the V8 engine. Can you do it?...YES you can.
Pontiac did not make a 403 but offered a Oldsmobile 403 in the trans am, lots of work and modification to put in a 1988
yes
