The Aztek has been known to have screwy gas gauges. Mine "floats" from E to F and sometimes shows the actual level. I've heard it's a bad sending unit in the tank causing the problem. If your gauge just lies there, it's probably that the sending unit is done.
it's located in the fuel tank on the fuel pump
thermostat may be sticking and that cause the gauge to show hot, have it checked soon, you could be headed for bigger problems
In a 2002 Pontiac Aztek, the fuse that controls the gas gauge and speedometer is typically the "Instrument Panel" fuse. This fuse is located in the fuse box, which is usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side. If either the gas gauge or speedometer is not functioning properly, checking this fuse is a good first step in troubleshooting the issue. Always refer to the owner’s manual for the exact fuse layout and specifications.
The fuse for the temperature gauge on a 2001 Pontiac Aztek is located in the under-hood fuse box. You can find the fuse box near the battery. Check the diagram on the fuse box cover for the specific fuse related to the instrument panel or temperature gauge, as the labeling may vary. If the gauge is not functioning, inspect that fuse for any signs of damage or failure.
temperature gauge not working can be caused by a bad temp sensor in engine, a bad gauge in dash, or a bad fuse
My oil pressure gauge is dropping to o and the oil was just changed and is full. What could cause this
To recharge the air conditioning on a Pontiac Aztek, first ensure the engine is off and the vehicle is in a safe position. Locate the low-pressure service port, typically found on the larger diameter hose connecting the compressor to the evaporator. Attach the refrigerant canister to the port, start the engine and turn on the AC to the maximum setting, then slowly release the refrigerant until the system is adequately charged, monitoring the pressure gauge to avoid overcharging. Always wear safety goggles and gloves, and consider consulting a professional if you're unsure.
Go to a Pontiac Mechanic and spend a few bucks.
Because it is a Pontiac. Sorry, man.
Coolant Temperature Sensor
The gauge near the filter of the pool will tell you when the filter needs cleaning, the higher the gauge reads the more backpressure is caused by dirt in the filter, most gauges have a red section that indicate the need to clean the filter.
The pressure gauge will generally read 10 PSI higher than when the filter was clean. In any case do not let the filter gauge go above 40PSI.
