simply put, no. Are you sure trans is slipping, sometimes the engine running poorly can seem like trans slippage and shuddering. Better get a transmission shop to diagnose it for you- it would be 50-100 dollars well spent..
Depends on what type of vehicle you have.
If your plan is to install a new O2 sensor, I would unplug the electrical connection to the sensor and then cut the wires off at the sensor. Doing this will allow you to slip a 7/8" box wrench over the sensor and turn it counterclockwise to remove it.
If you are replacing a 02 sensor with a new one I would cut off the wires at the sensor and slip a 7/8" box wrench over the sensor and remove it with a counterclockwise motion.
Assuming you are replacing it with a new one, cut the wires off at the sensor and slip a 6 point 7/8" box wrench over the sensor, that should give you a good grip on the sensor.
If you are replacing an O2 sensor with a new one, disconnect the electrical plug from the vehicle harness, cut the wires off at the old O2 sensor, slip a 7/8" box wrench over the O2 sensor and remove it by turning it counterclockwise. Install the new O2 sensor using a 7/8" open end wrench, tighten it as you would a spark plug, reconnect the electrical plug into the vehicle harness, done.
no
Depends on what the problem is or what code was set.
First you need to determine which O2 sensor needs to be replaced, there could be up to 4 of them if you have duel exhaust. A bad O2 sensor would illuminate the check engine light in which case the code(s) stored would lead you to the faulty sensor. Once you have determined which O2 sensor needs to be replaced, unplug the O2 sensor harness from the vehicles harness. If you are replacing the sensor with a new one go ahead and cut the wires off of the old sensor. This will allow you to slip a 7/8" box wrench over the sensor to remove it CCW. Install the new sensor and tighten it with a 7/8" open end wrench and tighten as you would a spark plug. No need to over tighten it. Reconnect the new O2 sensor to the vehicles harness, done.
yes
the exhaust, where every o2 sensor is
A bad o2 sensor could confuse the cars computer. This can make the computer to send wrong signals to the engine, resulting in the engine not running properly.
The O2 sensor can be found on the outside of the air cleaner housing. The O2 sensor will be attached to the back of the air cleaner housing.
