Just swapping in a larger cam isn't the answer. Yes, you can put the 3/4 cam in. It'll sound fairly good sitting at idle, but that's about it. Those were designed and run for cars decades ago that had higher compression, better heads and headers, and lower rear gears. You may put in a cam that flows incredible numbers, but if you don't match the heads, exhaust, and intake for it then it'll never run right. Probably not as good as your engine runs right now. It's all a matched setup....whether it's bone stock or aftermarket high performance.
