You don't want to do that. It's against the law.
That depends if all the wheels are on the ground. Some cars have to have the drive shaft disconnected so it can be towed. Then it doesn't click up mileage.
Odometer is a device to measure the speed of vehicles. So it is also known as Speedometer.
It is illegal to disconnect the odometer on any vehicle. So you will get no help here.
Odometer tampering is an illegal practice and a serious crime. So it might be better for you to see an authorized dealership to have anything done with your odometer.....
in a car the odometer tell you how far you have driven. so it's measures how far you've travelled
It is non-servicable, so repair requires replacement of the speedometer/odometer assembly.
If the odometer stopped working and the speedometer and cruise control still work, you have a bad odometer. It is part of the speedometer assembly so the whole thing will have to be replaced.
The odometer is electronic, there is a plug in on the back of the speedometer, however the plugin for the odometer also may power other controls, so this may not be a good idea. I dont know why your trying to stop the odometer but your out of luck the computer keeps track of your information your odometer is just a read out like a monitor
Yes if speedo is NOT DISCONNECTED it must be connected as normal so no problems If you meant can you still drive with speedo disconnected then no
To not use to did means not so not connected
I don't think so because the odometer is electronic in them. If the key isn't in it then it shouldn't. You could just tow it somewhere close to see if the odometer changes to be sure.
In violation of federal law to do so.
