Sometimes if you're pretty mechanically inclined you can actually remove the motor itself only & disassemble the armature assembly & clean all the contacts & reassemble opposite it being taken apart, & it has worked for me at least 8 out of 10 vehicles I've performed that on.

I just replaced the motor and cables. I would suggest to have window down all the way and you will not have a problem changing out. It cost me 40 dollars at junk yard and took about 2 hours for everything. I would not suggest to take cables out of motor. Very difficult to replace cables with out right tools. I tried this and gave up on it because of difficulty in getting cables back in correct order. Hope this will help.
