It can be made to work, but you can't just put the door glass in.
1970 Mustang glass bolts to the metal bracket that goes up and down on the window regulator. 1969 glass is glued to the bracket, which is a nuisance. The bracket is a different shape as is the bottom of the glass.
If you have the 1970 glass with the bracket, it will work on the 1969 window regulator. If you don't have the bracket, you'll have to find a used one if you want to use the 1970 glass.

most likely since most 70' mustangs were actually carry overs from 69' but double check the manual and measure because the fastback and the coupe have different doors. if it came out of a fast back and is going into a fastback it should work. likewise for the coupe.
