Welcome to Mirez.co.uk : Programming ford remote keys
Remote frequency actuation=low keyless entry battery/keyfob
see mad `moles mondeo madness`.i used the second set of suggestions,THEY WORKED!
To reset the remote locking for a Ford Mondeo 2001, first, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Then, within 5 seconds, press the "Unlock" button on the remote. This should reset the system, allowing the remote to function properly. If this does not work, you may need to replace the remote's battery or reprogram it following the vehicle's manual instructions.
It means the battery is one of your remote keyfobs needs replacing. Probably the one you use the most.It means the battery in your key remote control is low and needs replacing. A Key FOB is your key with a built in remote control for your car.
See answer for this question regarding 2001 model it the same !
To reset the remote control on a Ford Mondeo, start by sitting inside the vehicle and closing all doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Press the "Lock" button on the remote, then turn the ignition off and remove the key. Finally, press the "Lock" button again to complete the reset process.
The system consists of a remote, commonly called a "keyfob" and a receiver module located somewhere on the car. This module may be incorporated inside another module or computer on the car, or it may be a stand-alone, separate module. When you press the keyfob button, a signal is sent out by the keyfob. This signal includes a numeric pass code. In other words a series of numbers that could be several digits long. You could compare this to the combination of a combination lock. If the combination agrees with the stored information that has been programmed into the receiver module, the doors unlock, lock, or whatever is supposed to happen, happens.
Press the lock or unlock button on the remote key twice. Then, within 30 seconds, insert the key in and turn in the ignition position (II). Good Luck!!
I just bought a 1996 2.0 ghia with remote locking however the remote still doesn't work so if you figure that out after the battery, will be much appritiated! its a CR2016 by the way
To reprogram the remote key for your 1998 Audi A6, first ensure that the car battery is fully charged. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Then, press and hold the unlock button on the remote for about 10 seconds. Finally, turn the key back to the "Off" position and test the remote to see if it works. If it doesn't, you may need to consult your owner's manual or a professional for further assistance.
turn key to position 2 about 5 times you will here central locking click when it clicks press your remote any button that's it re-programed
