Looking at the front of the engine, the #1 plug wire on the distributor cap is a little to your right of the middle of the engine. It is the first wire to the left of the front right cap fastener. The #1 cylinder is the front right cylinder, again as you look from the front of the engine, and to your right. On your right side the cylinder numbers are 1-3-5-7 then on your left, 2-4-6-8. On the cap, move clockwise and hook them up in the firing order you have listed. Good luck.
