No, it is illegal to turn the air bag off. However you can ask the NHTSA for permission to have a switch installed to disable the passenger air bag. They may or may not give you permission. Contact them at the link I will post. Click the link.
Probably not.
the airbag in a car is always on period. there is no on off switch
i installed a radio w/ harness and the airbag light is on, how do i turn it off or reset it?
The Ford focus does not come equipped with a passenger airbag on off switch. The airbag will not engage unless certain weight requirements are met.
it's automatic on the regular cab's, anything over 40 Lbs will trigger the sensor and turn on the airbag and anything less then 40 will shut it off, there are aftermarket switchers you can get to make it manual but these will void your warranty assuming there is any warranty left.
There is a kit avalible from ford dealer
I'm fighting with it too, looks I'm going to remove the fill tube for the washer fluid....and go from there
my 2000 windstar sel you can not turn of the air bags.
My "Passenger Airbag Off" light is illuminated even when I have a passenger is in the right seat. Isn't there a sensor in the right seat that is supposed to turn the airbag on when I have a passenger?
To change the time on a 2006 Ford Fusion, turn on the ignition but do not start the engine. Press the "Menu" button on the dashboard to access the settings, then use the "Tune" knob to select the clock settings. Adjust the hours and minutes using the knob, and press "OK" or "Enter" to save the changes. Finally, exit the menu to return to the main display.
I have a 1995 Ford Explorer XLT and there isn't a switch to turn off the passenger airbag like in the pick-up trucks
To turn off the driver side airbag in a 2012 Ford Focus, you typically need to locate the airbag deactivation switch. This switch is usually found on the dashboard or the side of the driver's seat. However, it's important to consult the owner's manual for specific instructions, as tampering with airbag systems can be dangerous and may not be recommended. If necessary, seek assistance from a qualified technician.
