The answer is yes.. check out this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borg-Warner_T-5_transmission
They both use the 4L60E.
Mercon works fine.
It is marked on the dipstick what ATF to use.
That manual transmission doesn't use gear oil. You can use Mercon ATF.
Pull the dipstick out of the automatic transmission and read it, will tell you what fluid to use.
Sure, preferably a short tail TH 400 with the Chevy/Buick bolt pattern.
Check the transmission dipstick, it is written on the stick what fluid to use.
Both use the 4.3 V6 and 4L60E transmission (assuming they're both auto). They'll work.
Automatic? Read the information on the transmission dip stick, it will tell you what type of fluid to use. Standard? Use Mercon.
it should cause the iroc and the 94 camaro use the same transmission and the 94 v6 camaro transmission will fit the 94 z28 the only problem is that if you are a tire kicker and its a stick shift it wont hold up to the power but if its a automatic you should be fine
I have a 98 S10, 5 speed standard with 185K miles on it and I use Mercon in the transmission.
There is a plug on the side of the tranny. take it out. If fluid runs out, put the plug back in the hole and get on with life. If no fluid runs out, check your manual for what transmission fluid to use. Fill it till it runs out at the plug a bit. Be sure to use the transmission fluid recommended for Chevy S10 5 speed manual transmissions.
