When changing parts on a car it is important to have a diagram of the part. A person can find the diagram of a rack and pinion for an 1989 Dodge Omni is its maintenance manual.
what does rack and pinion steering consist of and do on a 1995 Dodge Intrepid?
To replace the rear pinion seal on a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel, first, safely lift the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove the driveshaft by unbolting it from the rear differential and marking its position for reinstallation. Next, use a socket to remove the pinion nut and pull the yoke off, exposing the old seal. Carefully pry out the old seal, install the new seal, reassemble the yoke, and tighten the pinion nut to the manufacturer's specifications before reattaching the driveshaft.
If you are asking the question, you need to pay someone to do that. You have to preload the pinion, shim, etc. It isn't a bolt the ring gear in place and torque the pinion and go thing or else you will be making metal shavings and molten metal.
NoNo
Get more fuel in the engine, changing the torque plate and adjusting the AFC valve will do it nicely.
there is none. you need a torque meter gauge to measure turning torque. you tight the nut so there is no play. measure with the gauge. tighten some more. check again. and so on. if u go to tight you cannot loosen. u have to replace the crush sleeve and start over
