That could mean either 1 of 2 things. 1) You are getting an intermittent trouble code from a sensor to the computer, which does not set a permanent "running" problem or "hard" code, or 2) the light should be on all the time, and has some kind of a short in it, which I really doubt is the case. Go to one of the big auto parts chain stores like Advance Auto-parts OR pep boys or Auto Zone and they will pull the codes for you with a code reader/scanner for free. Make sure you write down the codes, and we can narrow your problem.
