Check the owners manual for the fuse box location for your specific car.
There are often two fuse boxes in cars, one under the hood and one inside the car, look up a fuse configuration diagram, there is often one on the inside of the fuse box cover, and look for a description that would relate to the dash light. It is fairly easy to tell if a fuse is blown by looking at it, if you don't see a blown fuse the dash light bulb most likely needs the be replaced.
