4l60e
That is a 4L60E
You'd need to check the VIN of your 93 S10 against manufacturer records... 93 was the first model year that the 4L60E was put into use, but some of the earlier 93 models still used the 700R4. If it came with a 4L60E, the 99 4L60E should work.. if it came with a 700R4, making the swap to a 4L60E will be a bit more complicated.
My 93 has a 4l60e. A 95 should have the same. It look like a 700r4 but it computer controlled.
No it will not. The 93 has a 4L60E in it, not a 700R4
700r4 1993 to 1996 then 1997 to 2002 its a 4L60_E That would be wrong. I have a 1995 and the stock tranny is a 4L60E, in 96 the SS made it's debut back into the scene for the first time since 1972. The '93 and '94 both had a 4L60, however their was an optional Borg-Warner six speed manual transmission in the '93 that ended up getting it a spot as a pace car for Nascar that season.
Most likely one of these 700R4 / 4L60 / 4L60E / 4L65E They are pretty much the same 1989-2005 Chevy S-10 Blazer my 1992 has the 700R4 my 1997 has the 4L60E
You can't, The computer system in that 93 is designed and programed to operate the 4L60E transmission and engine.NOT the 700R4, and yes it will bolt right up but the engine will not run right and the speed sensor will not work either. The check engine light will stay on and you will always have engine running problems.BE SMART and PUT the 4L60E back in that 93 are you'll be sorry.A different opinionThe extra expense will make the 700r4 too expensive but it can be done. The computer will need to be custom reprogrammed. $500.00 to $2000.00 depending on difficulty. Will need to adapt speedometer signal. Your re programmer might be able to figure it out, but more likely you will have to.Then it wont work as well when your are done.
If I understand correctly what you are asking.....The 1993 Camaro (Z28) had an LT1 engine, but used the non-electric version 4L60. The 4L60E was not used until 1994.
NO. The 700r4 is NOT a ELECTRONIC CONTROLLED TRANSMISSION.The 93 model MUST HAVE THE 4L60E TRANS. PUT BACK IN IT BECAUSE OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEM ON THE 93. That is if yours is a 1/2 ton. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E in them. The E stands for electronic. If you put the 700R4 in the 93 it will not run right and the transmission will not even shift.
Yes. There's a slight possibility it might require the ECM to be reprogrammed, though.
700r4
NO it will not, The center shaft that's in the 4x4 transmissions are longer then the 2-wheel drives. That is so the transfur case will slide onto the shaft.
