No, the back seats in a Chevy Express 3500 LS van do not fold down. The van is designed primarily for passenger transport or cargo, and the rear seating configuration is typically fixed. If additional cargo space is needed, the seats can be removed, but they do not have a folding feature.
I have a 2009 Malibu LT and it has two front seats and a bench style seat in the back, 2 people can fit comfortably and can add a person in the middle if necessary.

Look under the benchs, on the inside of the leg, there should be a cut out in the flooring in the back. Lift it up the flooring and underneath is the pin with an orange handle that holds the benches in place. Rotate the pin so the handle is vertical and wiggle it out. Once both pins are removed. Disconnect the seat belts from the benches, slide the bench back a couple of inches, and lift the bench out.
This car has buckets in front, bench in back and seats a total of 5 persons.
A bucket seat is a seat designed to hold exactly one person, as opposed to a bench seat which can hold two or more. In general, the driver and front passenger of a car are bucket seats, while the back row is a bench seat.
