It looks like the M22 did not come out 'till '67. Not to say it could not have been changed at some point. Find the serial #. '63 to '66 do not have a year designator in the seial #. Example P0101 would mean

From '67 to '68 the month got a letter code and the year code is present.
Example - P8A01 :

8 - 1968

01 - 1st day
'68 through '74 have a letter at the end to code the ratio.
