Yes. You use feeler gauge to set gap between sensor and crankshaft pully( .020 to .053)
The car won't start. Need a scan tool.
Behind the harmonic balancer. You will need to remove the right front tire, remove the access panel to the engine (through the wheel well), remove engine belt, remove harmonic balancer & pulley with a puller. Remove & replace crank sensor, align sensor with an alignment tool, replace balancer with an installer tool.. BE VERY careful with the balancer, the backside of it has a hall effect style blades. bending these blades will junk the balancer.
no, there is one bolt that holds it in place, so no need , just a 10mm socket
remove the front passenger wheel, remove the crank pulley, remove the crank sensor. you may need a GM special tool to remove certain bolts
To remove the crank from a bicycle, you will need a crank puller tool. First, remove the dust cap from the crank arm. Then, insert the crank puller tool into the crank arm and tighten it. Use a wrench to turn the crank puller tool until the crank arm is loosened and can be removed from the bike.
To remove a bike pedal crank, you will need a crank puller tool. First, remove the pedal from the crank arm. Then, use the crank puller tool to unscrew the crank arm from the bike's bottom bracket. Turn the tool clockwise to loosen and remove the crank arm.
The distributor is not "timed". It is synched to the crank sensor with a scan tool.

Remove passenger side front wheel. Place a jack stand under the vehicle... don't rely on the jack to hold the vehicle up while you are working on it. Remove the side splash panel shield on the passenger side so you can get to the chank shaft balancer. Remove serpentine belt. If you have a front motor mount, you will have to remove the mount. To do this, support the engine with a jack and a large block of wood under the oil pan. Lift just enough to take the weight off of the motor mount. On the driver's side, remove the shield over the crank gear. You will need to insert a long screw driver holding the gear (and crank) in place while an assistant removes the center bolt from the crank balancer. Remove crank/balancer pulley. This is a large TIGHT nut in the center of the pulley. You'll need a breaker bar and an assistant while you hold the crank in place. You can now access the sensor which is bolted to the timing cover. To replace you need a special tool to align the sensor. If you do NOT have the tool, you must be VERY careful not to break the sensor when you reinstall the crankcase balancer. Center and align the censor making sure it does NOT touch the balancer.
Ford has a SPECIAL TOOL KIT with brackets that mount to the cylinder head. NO OTHER WAY
