Yes you can.
The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the " radiator cap " on a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis
If you dont see the petcock, then pull the bottom hose to the radiator; remove radiator cap or remove cap from the fill antifreeze expansion add-to tank reservoir. I think this will remove any air lock and drain out faster.
On a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the 16 PSI pressure cap / radiator cap
On a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis : The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is your 16 PSI pressure cap / radiator cap
The thread on cap on the engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap for the engine cooling system
On a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis : ( the thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap ) The vehicle came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) Besides providing freeze protection the mixture also provides CORROSION protection ( until the corrosion package in the antifreeze is " used up " ) Ford states to not let the antifreeze portion of the mixture to drop below 40 % and not to exceed 60 %
At the front of the engine , towards the drivers side of the engine ( power steering fluid reservoir on a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis )
plastic valve on driver side on inside of radiator
A 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis would have come from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A )
A 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and ( GREEN color antifreeze , meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A )
I was looking at a picture in the 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis Owner Guide and it shows the power steering fluid reservoir at the front of the engine compartment between the engine coolant reservoir and the engine air filter box
