Yes. It's located on bottom left side of air filter box.
The 1997 Pontiac Sunfire air conditioning low pressure switch can be found on the top of the air conditioning compressor. The low pressure switch will be labeled as the low pressure port.
low freon, bad pressure switch, bad compressor clutch.
The 1994 Pontiac Trans Am air conditioning low pressure switch is on top of the air conditioner compressor. The low pressure switch will be labeled as the low pressure port.
Try checking the low pressure switch.
The low pressure switch in a 2004 Pontiac Montana is responsible for monitoring the pressure of the air conditioning system. If the pressure drops below a certain level, the switch will trigger the compressor to shut off to prevent damage to the system. It helps ensure that the AC system operates safely and efficiently.
follow the refridgerant lines from the compressor.
An air compressor pressure switch can be bought at your local electronics store, such as Best Buy. An agent would be happy to direct you to a purchase.
On a Pontiac Vibe, the high and low pressure switches for the AC clutch are typically located on the AC system's refrigerant lines. The low pressure switch is usually found on the accumulator or the suction line, while the high pressure switch is located on the discharge line or near the compressor. It's important to consult the vehicle's service manual for precise locations and details, as they can vary slightly by model year.
There could be a number of reasons for this... electrical fault, faulty compressor clutch, low pressure in the AC system due to a leak or blockage in the system, faulty low pressure switch.... The last one is the one to check first. You simply unplug the wire from the accumulator, and jump a wire between the two contacts. If your compressor clutch engages, then the low pressure switch is operating as it's supposed to. If it doesn't, then you have a bad low pressure switch.
It's not a switch. The high pressure runs from the compressor outlet to the orifice tube inlet, and the low pressure side runs from the orifice tube outlet to the compressor inlet.
Engages and disengages the compressor clutch as needed.
