Is this a Factory LT1? In your 1992 Z28?
pull the ECM/PCM fuse for a few seonds then replace it. that should reset it
Yes a lt1 will fit in a 1991, but i believe the motor mounts are a little different for the lt1. You cannot transplant it though without an PCM from an lt1, which needs a 4l60E transmission to control the transmission and engine codes. There are standalone kits available but they cost more than a PCM.
If the Pcm sets a code saying that it's companion has dtc, you need to check the Ecm because it will have a code in it.If the Pcm sets a code saying that it's companion has dtc, you need to check the Ecm because it will have a code in it.
P1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECMP1694 - No CCD message received from ECM. This is a bus communication failure between the PCM and ECM
Either the PCM, or ECM will have another code in it. Diagnose and repair that code and the companion dtc set code will go away.Either the PCM, or ECM will have another code in it. Diagnose and repair that code and the companion dtc set code will go away.
The PCM (or ECM) is located on the interior of the car on the passenger side. To access the PCM/ECM remove the kick panel just beneath the glove box and it is right there. Disconnect the three electrical harnesses and and sucuritity clip and it's out.
PCM = Power Control Module. It is the car's main computer/brain. Also can be referred to as the ECU or ECM.
ECM/PCM Power Relay Sense Circuit /Open
Yes. you need to change the engine mounts a bit, and the pcm and the ecu need to be replaced with the v8 ones, tranny, rear end, alot of things need to be done, i recomend just buying a car with a LT1/LS1 with it in already in it, like a Formula/Trans Am/Z28 Camaro/SS Camaro
The fuse that works the cooling fan(s) depend on the make/model/year of the car. In general cooling fans are controlled by a fan relay & fuse or by the ecm, bcm,pcm (ecm/bcm/pcm are computers)
Trouble code P1693 means: A companion DTC was set in both the ECM and PCM
