A big cam 350 probably refers to a cummins diesel engine.

Cummins diesel engines had a reputation for cam failure in the past, and the company came out with a fix they called the big cam series of engines, which means the cam bearings, lobes, followers etc were made bigger to last longer

Is a Chevy 327 more powerfull than a Chevy 350?

The age old question. Both engines are capable of producing amazing power. The 350 because it has a few more cubic inches should be able to be built for more power and the 350 also has more power fixes than the 327 just because it has been around more and there are more of them. For instance a 400 crank in a 350 makes it into a 383 which can be built to produce more power than either the 327 or the 350. But Chevy purists (and I am one of them ) prefer the 327 just because it was truly the first really impressive small block Chevy. The 265 and 283 were nice but the 327 was truly a mighty mouse.

What is the difference in a 305 and a 350?

The 305 & 350 are basically the same engine. The 305 just has a smaller bore(3.736 vs. 4.000), not quite the power or torque, but durability should be almost identical. It is more costy to rebuild a 305 than a 350 due to the popularity of the 350. If power is not an issue then go for the 305 if you can get one cheaper. If you want more power, then a 350 is the way to go.

Does a 350 long block have more power than a 350 small block?

They are both the same engines. You refer to a long block as being a compleat engine assy. 350 small block is what it means. It's a 350 and that is called a small block.

Yes, Need to be carefull: The 350 flows more air so the don't use the 305 manifolds. The 350 makes a bunch more power so you nedd to make sure the clutch is good and rated for the power
