To convert a Chevy 230 engine from points ignition to an electronic distributor, you'll need to replace the existing points and condenser with a compatible electronic ignition system. This typically involves installing an electronic distributor designed for the 230 engine, which may require rewiring to accommodate the new system. Ensure that the ignition coil is also compatible with the electronic setup. Finally, properly set the timing according to the specifications for the new distributor to ensure optimal engine performance.
We are going to need to know what engine you have in that 92 S10.
30 degrees dwell
a 1973 Chevy truck has HEI Answer And if it does have points, say not the original engine, its .018-.019 will do.
Any steel part of the engine, body, or frame.
buy a timing light. clip it to the #1 plug wire. loosen the bolt on the distibutor. Unplug the timing advance. start the engine Point it to the harmonic balancer and turn the distributer until the timing mark on the timing cover lines up with the mark on the harmonic balancer. Tighten the distibutor bolt. plug in the timing advance.
check ur distibutor cap and rotor bug pull a spark plug see if its getting fire then make sure ur getting fuel to the carb
A 1976 Chevy did not have a points ignition, but that has nothing to do with the correct timing. You will find that the engine runs best with about 8-12 degrees BTDC.
No model, no year, no engine size, sorry I can provide no answer with just Chevy to go on.
No, a Chevy Cobalt engine will not fit directly into a Chevy Aveo due to differences in size, mounting points, and engine design. The Aveo is a subcompact car with a smaller engine compartment designed for its specific engine, while the Cobalt is larger and has a different engine configuration. Modifications would be required for such an engine swap, making it impractical without significant alterations.
1988 L6: 600rpm- 4*btc with points; 8*btc HEI
