I'm assuming you want to know where it's located. It's at the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side along the rear fender. It looks sort of like a can of pop. There'll be several lines running along side it, these are brake lines and fuel lines. The fuel line going in and out should just be bolted in, so they can be removed with wrenches. But lubricate the threads first, because on a car this old and given the location, everything will be rusty and potentially weakened. You don't want to have to repair a broken fuel or brake line if you don't have to.
Well... mines doing the same thing. 88 sedan deville, 4.5 ltr v8. It turns over but I watch and nothing is coming through the injectors... no fuel. It happens off and on, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I think it might be the fuel filter but i can't find that thing.
no dumb$#@
on my 88 it's under the dash in the middle, you can see a small flap. 85 and 88 should be similar
To change the fuel filter on a 1988 Cadillac Brougham, first, ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off. Relieve the fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls. Locate the fuel filter, typically mounted along the frame rail or near the fuel tank, and use a wrench to disconnect the fuel lines. Replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring that the flow direction is correct, and reconnect the fuel lines before starting the engine.
