The gear linkage on top of the gear box on this shape of Corsa suffers from wear very commonly. It seems that the ball & socket joints get water in them, causing the metal ball to rust, and then wear away the plastic socket.
The mechanism has been re-designed with the aim of preventing water getting in the joints.
There are two repair kits available from GM, a small kit for use when 1st and 2nd are hard to select, and a larger kit that is needed if reverse is hard/impossible to select.
Reverse and forward gears
There are many reasons why your reverse gears stopped working. There could be a leak or a plug for example.
6 gears not including reverse
Well in most cars there are 5 gears and the reverse. Don't forget the timing gears, steering gears and differential gears.
nope no reverse just 6 gears fast stuff
You don't. Hold A to drive forward, hold B to reverse, hold A and B to turn in place.
get a new clutch
There are 3 foreward gears and 1 reverse gear.
yes it has reverse and both high and low range gears . i can get it to run in both forward and reverse but only in low range . when i shift IT into high range it is still running in low range .
Sort of. Some planes can reverse the thrust of their engines. Propeller aircraft can change the pitch of their propellers so it can "bit" more air. Some can be reverses in pitch so that it is provide zero thrust.
A reversing linkage is a mechanism used in vehicles to reverse the direction of rotation in order to change the direction of movement. It is commonly found in gearboxes and transmissions to allow the driver to shift between forward and reverse gears.
A Reverse Shaft is the shaft which rotates in the opposite direction of the engine driver shaft with the help of meshing of gears mounted on it to the gears mounted on engine driver shaft when reverse gear is applied. The reverse shaft allows the vehicle to move in reverse direction. Sanjay Singh Rathore (ME 3rd year) M.I.T.Mandsaur
