Park the Blazer on a flat surface and remove the keys from the ignition.
Open the hood and locate the fuse block on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
Remove the cover from the fuse block and locate the fuse labeled "DRL."
Remove the "DRL" fuse from the fuse block.
Place the cover back onto the fuse block and close the hood.
i have a 98 blazer and read in the manual that you have to use the dome override button for this Dome override button has nothing to do with headlights,but with the interior lights in your vehicle. So it depends on what your problem is exactly.
push in on your dome override button twice. Note you will have to do this everytime you shut it off. the engine has to be running when you do this,this also disables the automatic headlights. Hope this helps.
push the dome override button twice
DRL = daytime running lights

Yes. During the daytime the lights will be out if the van is parked and running, but when put into a gear, the lights come on. If it's dark, the ambient light sensor recognizes the need for light and turns the lights on when the vehicle is started. The intent is to make the vehicle more visible. I've found that on my 2000 I can override the automatic lights by pressing the "Dome Override" button on the dash four times in succession. I get a single chime and the headlights go to manual control. They return to automatic control the next time the vehicle is started.
No they did not come factory equipped with daytime running lights.
it is the Daytime Running Light(drl) it is what makes your lights come on automatic!
the middle position of the 3 turns them off on my 01 S80
To override a neutral safety switch, locate it (it should be at the base of the steering column) and remove the green and brown wire. Connecting these two wires together will bypass the safety switch and your reverse lights will turn on.
Yes, unless the bulbs are burned out.
Alternator is not charging the battery. When you turn on the lights the system doesn't have enough power to keep the engine running.
