a 460 is an excellent hi-output big block engine, but the torque an HP specs really depend on what year the engine is. 90s 460s, fuel injected, put out about 250 HP and 400 ft-lbs of torque. earlier 460s were of similar performance, and many were more powerful. the real downfall of the engine is its incredibly horrible gas mileage- with fuel injection even, they get around 10MPG. as you can see, these engines in stock form can pull just about anything you could hook it to. I'm putting an FI 460 into my '79 bronco ATM.

The 1999 Ford F-150 with a 4.8-liter V8 engine produces approximately 305 horsepower. This engine was part of the Ford Modular engine family and was commonly used in various Ford trucks during that era. It provided a good balance of power and torque for the truck's capabilities.
Yes It makes very impressive horse power and torque like a built 460 or even better, if you get your parts from the right sources.
