YOUR FUEL FILTER IS LOCATED UNDER YOUR VEHICLE JUST IN FRONT OF YOUR FUEL TANK, I JUST CHANGED MINE SO,GET A NEW FUEL FILTER AND A HOSE REPLACEMENT THEN TAKE OUT THE FUSE UNDER THE HOOD OF YOUR CAR FOR (FULE LINE)SO IT WONT LEAK FULE WHEN YOU REMOVE IT THEN,JUST UNBOLT ONE SIDE OF THE OLD FUEL FILTER AND CUT OFF THE HOSE ON THE OTHERSIDE THEN REPLACE FILTER AND THE HOSE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JACK THE CAR UP HOWEVER,IF YOU HAVE A BEER BELLY MAYBE YOU WILL NEED TO JACK IT UP SOME TO GET UNDER THE CAR,AFTER YOU REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER AND THE NEW HOSE TO THE FUEL FILTER,THE OTHER END OF THE NEW HOSE WILL CONNECT TO THE OLD HOSE AND IT WILL SEEM LIKE YOU HAVE ALOT OF EXTRA HOSE LEFT,THEN GO BACK UNDER THE HOOD AND HOOK YOUR FUSE BACK UP AND TURN YOUR KEY ON THEN LOOK UNDER THE BACK OF YOUR CAR TO MAKE SURE THIERS NOT A LEAK RUNNING OUT ON THE GROUND JUST TO BE SURE THEN START IT UP AND CHECK AGAIN THEN SMILE REAL BIG BECAUSE IT HAS ALL BEEN FIXED AND YOUR GAS MILAGE WILL BE MUCH BETTER ALSO,IM GETTING CLOSE TO 38 40 MPG.AND IM VERY HAPPY:-)

You can find the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire air filter the inside of the air filter housing.. The air filter housing will be in the engine compartment.
