how to program the new ign switch
I've had to replace mines twice this year for varies reasons on my 02. what's your question?
no, the switch in the steering column is bad and needs replaced.
thermostat
You have to program the ignition with the computer the pass lock system is lock in you may be lucky by putting the ignition on for 10 min x3 put it on for 10 turn it off for a fiew sec do this 3 times
I had the same problem with an 01 Impala. Unfortunaltely the fix isn't cheap. For mine, it was the ignition switch combined with the BCM (Body Control Module). About a grand at the mechanic will fix it. However having said that, I made the repair, and the problem has started again only 6 months later. A quick diagnostic at the mechanic will specify what the problem is.
most cruise control problems are caused by a leaking vaccum canister that controls the throttle on the cruise, your switch is probably fine.
The sensor will cost around $75. It will cost another $75 to have it installed and the ECU reset.
Approximately $2,300.00 to replace with a rebuilt. (Just replaced mine) My guess new would be around $3,000.00
Do a 02 grand am transmission fit in a 03 impala
Low coolant? Bad thermostat? Heater core air bound, restricted, or plugged? Water pump not circulating coolant? Temperature control switch not working?
i have a 2002 impala and replaced the tranny once already, the 02 tranny will only fit 02 impala's and Monte Carlos, i wouldn't try the 02 one.. its a 4t65e tranny i believe and the 2000-2005 less the 02's are a 4t60 tranny, i could be wrong! but that's what i learned last time i changed mine, and am in the process of trying to do it again because i didn't keep up on my fluids.. :( I'm a dummie...
