go to a muffler shop and get a tech to build you a custom cat back exhaust system. Here in Los Angeles it would between $250-$400(depending on who you go to.) You will get better MPG, better acceleration, and pollute less. For a Focus you should ask for 2 1/2 inch tubing, this will give you much less back pressure, but not the annoying "tin can" sound. Plus by going to a local muffler shop your helping out the local economy, and not buying parts from Another Country.

If what i wrote doesn't make sense, just call a muffler shop and have them explain it to you. Auto mechanics are not as evil as everyone makes them out to be. Just know what you want and stick to it!
