I have just done this on a cast-iron head ..... plug head was rounded off and insulator cracked. The only way was to completely remove the insulator core (much time, cursing and swearing) byand then use an ezi-out to extract the remainder being careful not to let anything fall into the cylinder. Also be sure the piston is at BDC so you don't damage it as well. In hindsight, when it was found tight, I should have left it alone and taken it to a professional. Good luck!

How do you change the spark plugs on a 1996 Cadillac Seville?

Remove the spark plug wire or coil and use a padded socket to remove the spark plug from the head. Examine the old spark plug for wear patterns. Very carefully start threading the new spark plug in, such as not to damage the threads in the head, and finally use the padded socket to tighten firm (lookup specific torque specifications for your vehicle).

Do you need a special tool to change out the spark plugs on a 99 Dodge Intrepid?

First you need a Torx head screwdriver(the proper size of course) to remove the two torx screws that secures the wiring head that leads to the spark plug. Then you would use the proper size spark plug socket (has a rubber washer inside), I believe its 5/8, to remove the spark plug it self. (You have to pull up on the wiring head in order to access the plug). jd.

Where are the spark plugs located in an 04 F250?

They are located right in between the where intake manifold ends and the valve cover starts. You must remove a 7mm hex head bolt to remove the coil unit, then unplug the wire for the coil unit for each spark plug, remove the coil unit and you need a special very long spark plug socket to go down into the spark plug hole. Beware!!! The 4.6 and 5.4 Ford V-8 engines are known to have the spark plugs break off in the head for no appearent reason whatsoever and without warning.
