A 1996 Lincoln Continental is FRONT wheel drive
The 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive engines are the exact same.
I was looking at the 2006 Lincoln Navigator owners manual and it does not show anything about it having an all wheel drive system It is either rear wheel drive or it has the ControlTrac 4x4 system ( 4x4 HIGH , 4x4 LOW , 2 wheel drive , automatic 4x4 positions ) I assume it is a rotary dial to use to select the positions but I couldn't find any drawings as to where it exactly is located in the dash ( most likely it is in the center stack area of the dash )
two wheel drive front end sits lower to the ground
If it has 4-wheel drive you would see controls on the dash to engage 2-wheel high, 4-wheel high or 4-wheel low.
It is rear wheel drive. You can tell from the drive shaft extending to the rear axle from the transmission.
Check the sticker under the hood near the center of the vehicle, it should show "all wheel drive" if it is all wheel drive, or look under the vehicle to see front axels and wheel drive shafts and rear drive shaft and rear end "pumpkin"
My 2001 Rav 4 is always in 4-wheel drive. There is no option to change to two.
who is this and then i will tell you
yes
It's always in all wheel drive. You could jack up one side of car and see if the one wheel in the front and rear spin
ALL CR-V's are Front Wheel Drive - if you have a CR-V that is an All Wheel Drive (AWD) there is a simple way to tell. Look under the rear of your vehicle, if you see a drive shaft coming back to the rear axle it is All Wheel Drive. No driveshaft and no axle = strictly Front Wheel Drive only.
