make sure the engine is cool. there will be some coolant loss. prepare the new sending unit bt wrapping the threads in Teflon tape or coating them with sealant. disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor. install tyhe new one. check level after and top off if needed.
the engine coolant temperature senson is located just below the throttle body on the front of the engine
It is on the front of the intake it has three wires coming out of it done had to replace 1 myself the water pump is right below it

The coolant temperature sensor, on a 2005 Ford escape, can be changed by loosening the sensor retaining nut. Once the knot is removed the sensor will pull out.

The temperature sensor is usaully located where the coolant runs OUT of the engine close to thermostat housing.
It means it's time to replace the coolant temperature sensor.
It is on the intake manifold near the thermostat housing.

The coolant level sensor is located in the coolant reservoir tank. It should just screw or press in. Unplug it, remove it and put a new one in.

It is located under the coolant reservoir. You can't just replace the sensor. The whole coolant reservoir must be replace. It's a simply 10 minute job.
