Open the hatch, remove the rear interior body panal. Then there are five plastic wing nuts on each tail light housing. remove the wing nuts on the side which needs replacing, which may be obscurred by the other interior panals, and carefully remove the tail light fixture. to remove the bulb, twist the bulbs base left or right, and pull. The bulbs I.D.# should be on the bulb. Hope this helps.
Change brake light bulbs Just remove the rear license plate. You can change the backup lights and brake light easily.
Open the trunk, pull back the carpet material and there will be big black knobs, unscrew them (should be three each tail light) and the light will pull out and turn the plug on the back and pull out the bulbs.
You will need to remove the 1998 Chevy Camaro brake light wiring harness. Remove the brake light retaining screws. Reverse the process to install the new brake light.

if it's the rears and not the spoiler light then u just pull the carpeting back and twist the bulbs out if it's the spoiler brake lighgt then u should be able to either pop it open or it should have a screw or two to undo
The light assy has to be removed and the bulbs removed from the back.
Remove the two screws that hold the lens on, remove the lens and change the bulbs.
The brake light bulbs ar removed from the rear of the light assy . Take it off of the body.
Should be 2-3 large wing nuts and 4 brass type nuts in the trunk at the back wall - release these and the entire fixture will pull-out to access bulbs
If you mean the brake light, you just have to change the bulb or bulbs.
