you dont. starting in the early 90's, many of fords engines were using DIS (distributorless ignition system). by the time the manditory switch to OBDII in '96 rolled around, all Ford engines had been switched over to DIS. this system uses one coil pack per 2 cylinders (so 3 on your V6), the coil packs are fired electronically by the engines computer. so in short, no distributor means no distributor cap or rotor.
