The Engine Control Module (ECM) on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am is typically located in the engine compartment, mounted on the driver's side near the firewall. It is often found near the battery or the air intake duct. To access it, you may need to remove some covers or components. Always ensure the battery is disconnected before attempting to work on the ECM.
