According to my Chilton book, it's basically pretty easy. Apparently only 1 screw on each end of the top panel, then you pry it up. I saw a guy say in another forum that the dash has to be removed, but obviously he was only guessing because this is simply not true. It's quick and easy. I know this because I just ordered a pair of dash speakers for my 98 Stratus. So yes, that panel their in just pops up. Hope this helps. A friendly fellow Stratus owner.
