change the bulb
Well, darling, changing a tail light bulb on a 2004 Chevy Tracker is as easy as pie. First, pop open the trunk and locate the back of the tail light assembly. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise, pull it out, and swap the old bulb with a fresh one. Finally, twist the socket back in, give it a test, and voilà, you're good to go!
If the passenger side headlight on a 2001 Chevy Impala is dim, it may be time to change the bulb, or there is a problem with the wiring on that side.
You don't need to take the whole back panel off to do it!!(learned the hard way) the light cover on the bulb twists out, and it might take some elbow grease to twist it, then the bulb is easy to change.
turn the round gray part behind the light, remove the wire and pull the bulb out, reverse to reinstall

How do you change the fog light on a 2005 Chevy Equinox?
#9006.
i changed a license bulb on my 2000 vitara (should be same as a tracker) grasp the clear plastic lens cover and gently wiggle it back and forth, like pulling a tooth. mine came off intact. after i changed the bulb, i pressed the the lens cover back on. good luck.
if its the same as a 2000 tracker: 1/ open the tailgate 2/ remove two Phillips screws 3/ pull the brake light assembly away from the vehicle with a rocking motion [the assembly also has two moulded plastic pins to line everything up] 4/ don't lose the gasket 5/ twist the lower light socket counter clockwise and pull it out... the bulb is a 7443 that just pulls out of the socket
This is from a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker owners Manual Dome Lamp 1. Gently pry the dome lamp lens from the lamp assembly using a screwdriver. 2. Remove the bulb by gently opening the retaining clip and sliding the bulb out. 3. Insert a new bulb. Make sure that it is seated properly. 4. Snap the dome lamp lens back into the dome lamp assembly.
