Dexron-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid(ATF)...
As with nearly all automatic transmission the fluid goes in through the dipstick tube.
The 2006 Chevy Cobalt with a 2.2L engine typically requires about 7 quarts of transmission fluid when performing a complete fluid change, which includes the torque converter. If you're only doing a filter change, you might need around 5 quarts. Always refer to the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications.
The 2006 Chevy Cobalt typically comes with either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission offers a more engaging driving experience, while the automatic provides convenience for daily driving. Both options are designed to complement the vehicle's overall performance and fuel efficiency.
Why? There is no need to change the manual transmission fluid in a 2 year old vehicle.
There is none. Fluid must be pumped out.
