You can't adjust disc brakes
The standard features on the Chevy Express include side airbags, anti-lock brakes and stability control. The Express is a van manufactured by Chevrolet.
do you mean cavalier hand brake?
If they are drum brakes then yes they are self adjusting, But they never adjust themselves right. You will need to adjust them. If they are discs brakes then there is no adjustment. ( replace pads)
The front brakes are disc brakes and are self adjusting. The rears are drum brakes and are also self adjusting providing the self adjusting mechanism is in working order.
You need to adjust the cable on the brake.
adjustment is not needed. they will auto adjust on their own. if you have a rear break issue, then it is time to replace them, or have them inspected
You can get a 2001 Chevy Express wiring diagram at your local library. Most libraries will have the Chevy service manual with the wiring diagram.
frist make syre your rear brakes are ajusted properly then try your parking brake
To adjust the rear brakes on a Chevy Prizm, start by ensuring the vehicle is safely lifted and supported. Remove the rear wheel to access the brake drum. If the Prizm has drum brakes, locate the adjustment wheel or star wheel through the access hole on the backing plate and turn it to expand or contract the brake shoes until they lightly contact the drum. After adjustment, reassemble the wheel and lower the vehicle, then test the brakes for proper function.
Best bet would be your friendly local Chevy dealer parts and service dept.
