The car is a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport.
Your best bet is to have someone do it for you. But if you insist then I insist that you buy a Haynes manual.
A 1971 Chevelle was available with every engine in the Chevrolet line-up from the LS6 454 to the 250 cid inline six. With that in mind, the mileage would be somewhere between 4 mpg and about 25 mpg.
Its a 1972 with a 1970 front end on it.Looks like they modified the 71 fenders to fit the 70 radiator support (there is no side markers in fenders)
I could only find one 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS on sale at eBay. The owner has a starting price bid on it for $35,000. However I'm not sure if that's the ACTUAL retail value.

In 1971, the base price of a Chevrolet Chevelle varied depending on the model and trim level, generally ranging from around $2,500 to $3,500. The more performance-oriented versions, such as the Chevelle SS, could cost significantly more, often exceeding $4,000. Prices could also fluctuate based on options and regional differences.
