on side of thermostat housing there is a bleed screw with engine running slowly
open screw you will hear air coming out do not do this when HOT, with cool engine
only , when fluid does start to come out tighten screw back in
the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle, you can make copies of the right sections :)
Did you bleed the air valve? if you open any part of the cooling system on a dodge intrepid, ie: change the radiator hose or thermostat housing. You need to bleed the air out the Valve. If not the car will over heat.
There is no reason to ever bleed a cooling system.
Any time you flush out the cooling system you need to bleed the cooling system.
How do you bleed the cooling system of a 1988 acura legend? Is there a bleeding screw and where is it located?
If the cooling system is in good working order the system will bleed the air out itself. If the system has a leak anywhere no matter how small the system will never bleed the air out.
there should be a air valve on the engine that you can bleed the bubbles out of the cooling system.
To bleed the coolant in a 1995 Dodge intrepid locate the drain plug on the underside of the radiator, un plug it and pour new coolant in the system. Close the plug and while the engine is running find the coolant pressure valve and loosen it to relieve pressure. When bubbles stop forming there is no longer air in the system.
maybe you have air in your system, there should be a place where it can be bleed.
NO!!!!!
the air conditioner is separate from your cooling system. intrepids are prone to overheating, and i think it is because the radiator is too small to properly vent heat.AnswerCooling system should also be bled of air by the bleed screw on the water outlet located on the top of the motor.Air pockets are common.
Engine cooling system is not a closed system you can't remove the air.
