same way as non abs start from the furthest wheel from master cylinder which is r/rear then l/rear the r/ front then/l front make sure car is running because it has a electric brake booster, bleed until no more air and cleen fliud come from each wheel of order I described
Don't know what you want to know about the brakes
Check your shop manual... I believe the rear brakes are bled using the ignition switch, and the front are bled the traditional way.
Yes, they have the ABS brakes.
Not true, they have power brakes.
Sounds like you got air in the lines so you would have to bleed the brakes. Just saying that they suck doesn't explain much so I went for the bleed the brakes but if it was explained just what is going on with them maybe then it could be pin pointed.
May be the proportioning valve by the master cylinder
Ya with a lot of work and fab.work and wiring.
Front brakes are done the usual way but the back pistons have to be screwed into the calibers not pushed in.
To replace the ABS brake system on a 1988 Lincoln Mark VII, start by disconnecting the battery and safely lifting the vehicle. Remove the wheels, then locate and detach the ABS module and associated brake lines. Replace the ABS unit with a compatible model, ensuring all connections are secure, and then bleed the brake system to remove air. Finally, reassemble everything and test the brakes to ensure proper function.
On the passenger side underneath floor just ahead of the rear wheel. Hope this helps Mark VII Heaven
You didn't ask a question about a 95 Lincoln Mark Vlll. or yes, there is a 95 Lincoln Mark Vlll.
you need to take off the master cylinder and the accumulator and replace it with a master cylinder from a non antilock vehicle like a thunderbird or cougar from about 1985 to 1988.
