pump the brakes, and then hold it down while your buddy loosens the bleeder screw. repeat the process a couple times on each brake, making sure the master cylinder doesn't run out of fluid. also make sure the bleeder screw is tight before letting off the break, or you have to start over

Does changing the master cylinder change the way you bleed the brakes?

Yes, changing the master cylinder can affect the way you bleed the brakes. When a new master cylinder is installed, it may require a different bleeding procedure due to potential air trapped within the unit itself. It's often recommended to bleed the master cylinder before connecting it to the brake lines to ensure efficient brake fluid flow and eliminate air. After that, you can proceed to bleed the brakes at each wheel as usual.

There is still no fluid pressure. Make sure that the master cylinder was bled as well as the wheel cylinders. New master cylinders can be tough to bleed all of the air out. The new master could be defective.

Bleed master cylinder 2002 kia sportage?

first take master cylinder off car and bench bleed it. the new one will come the bench bleeding instrustions, but generally you push the plunger in at the back and the fluid is circulated thru little hoses back into the reserviour ,you do this about a dozen times then remount to car ,hook up pipes and bleed each wheel in closet to master cylinder to farthest last. again read instructions that come with master cylinder for complete details. If you feel you cant master this one let a auto brake store bleed them for you. if you don't get it right" you no stoppy."
