The 69 Nova never had a V6
The 1977 Chevy Nova came with an inline 6 and a V8. They did not come with a V6. If a V6 has been installed you need to know which one as the chevy engines have very different firing orders.

the transmission used in the v6 is the same as the transsmission in the V8 and they can be swapped either way. as in you can match the v8 with a v6 tranny or a v6 with a v8 tranny the bellhousing lines up the same

Not really, It was a V8. They came with a 289 which is a V8 but, it is the smallest V8 so basically you could call it a V6 but it's technically still a V8.
An RS camaro came stock with a v6 but came had the option of a v8, turns out most RS's were v8's
