You would have to get a intake that a carburetor will fit on and then drill out the 4 center holes in the intake, 2 on each side so it will bolt up to your 89 heads. The intakes look the same but the center holes are drilled different in the carbureted intake. DO NOT USE THE RUBBER GASKETS THAT FIT ON THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE INTAKE THAT THEY GIVE YOU,ARE IT WILL LEAK. use sealacone hi-temp

oem. BLACK to seal front and back of intake.

You will also have to get a HEI Distributor to put in the engine. your 89 dist. will not work.

You will have to remove the fuel tank and do away with the electric fuel pump and make the fuel pick up tube longer in the tank. If you don't it will blow the needle and seat out of the carburetor. I don't remember if the 89 block has a block off plate where the fuel pump goes on the block, are if it's even drilled for a manule fuel pump.

That's an old block, and it's been a long time scents I've worked on one.

That should be all you have to do to make things work Good luck.
