how do you change the LCM on a 2000 Lincoln continential and where is it located
In my 1998 the lighting control module is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. It is a black plastic box about 3" by 5" by 2" and clicking sounds can be heard from it when your blinkers are on. Remove the panel covering the area (2 plastic tabs), then the two 7mm screws fastening the LCM. Pull it out unplugging the wires clipped into it. According to Lincoln a replacement part is $700! I am not ready to make this purchase and hope my brake lights are not working due to another reason -- Are there any suggestions?
under the drivers dash, next to the steering collumn.

There's not one, you have an LCM or lighting control module. It controls most all light functions and is pretty pricey and almost always must be obtained at the dealer.
The product of the GCF and the LCM is the same as the product of the original two numbers. Divide the product of the original numbers by the GCF. The result will be the LCM.
abobe the aselerator to the left of the cup holder coverd by a black plastic
There is no flasher unit on a 97. It is controled by an LCM or Lighting Control Module. Dealership part and is pretty pricey.
The least common multiple (LCM) of two numbers changes when the quantities of those numbers change. In this case, the LCM of 8 (applesauce packages) and 3 (juice bottle packages) is 24, which remains the same regardless of how many packages you have. Thus, while the LCM itself does not change, the total number of items you would need to purchase to achieve an equal number of both products will be determined by those quantities.
